Children and "magic" products
At snack time, all the mothers made their children eat colorful snacks, in the most varied flavors, which the children devoured, drinking fruit juices of all kinds. What did those little devils eat and drink? The labels show the presence of colorants, preservatives, emulsifiers, stabilizers, anti-mold and refined sugar! The products are proposed by a hammering advertising and by catchy commercials, linked to figures dear to children: super heroes or cartoon animals or television sketches made by other children who recite the "how good it is and how good it does!". What did those children bring into their mouths with their little hands that touched everything in the park? We should think about that! How do we build good prevention for those uvulas who screamed at the top of their lungs and how do we wash their skin and protect their hair from pests? Six-year-old Leonardo invited me, the next day, to play with him in his backyard and I, naively, accepted. What did he involve me in, in those few hours we were together? Games with the ball, jumping rope, running on the grass and pushing various bikes were the "tests" that, between one effort and another, we did together!
It´s not that, after convincing him to go back inside the house, things got better! Wrestling and rolling around on the carpet, running on all fours, wars with the cushions of the armchair and so on represented my débâcle. Age (that´s the excuse), lack of training (that´s the truth) and a few extra pounds (that´s the reality) have presented me with a hefty bill: difficulty breathing, fatigue and some joint pain.
Where does Leonardo get the energy to do what he does? He doesn´t stand still for a moment! At the park, with his little friends, he never stopped and at home he did the same thing! At school, I assume (I was shy to ask), during recess, he will move the same way! I was reminded that children have to move, and lots of it.
"Still child, sick child" goes an old popular maxim, so that´s what children are like. So it´s our duty to provide them with the right fuel, rational rest and a protected environment: a balanced diet (with lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables and very few chips, bagged snacks and fizzy drinks) and safe food supplements with a strong preventive flavor.
The "magic" products to accustom children to healthy, natural and effective products
Leonardo´s mother, a pediatrician, has "dressed" with the clothes of fairy tales some natural products, safe and very effective: in the morning, before breakfast, she "gives" a spoonful of "magic syrup", which gives strength, and before leaving home, she puts in his mouth to suck two "superhero candies", which give extraordinary powers. Among the precautions, to protect personal hygiene, he has put a natural disinfectant in his backpack and has accustomed the child to using it at school, spraying it on his hands before recess and before lunch: it creates "invisible gloves" that protect the skin from the "little animals" that are in the dirt. When he comes back from the garden, after school recess, and when he leaves the pool or tennis court, the little one asks for a little spray in his mouth of a spray that represents the "space shield", so he can do the screaming battles. Another ritual is to take a shower in the evening with the "fairy flower", which makes the skin as fragrant as that of the fairies of the meadows, or the shampoo with the "victorious helmet", which protects the hair from itching on the head, given by enemies flying in the air.
I have ascertained all this by being with my nephew and I have seen him so well aware of the need to take the "super products" that if his mother forgets to give them to him, he asks for them with a reproachful attitude.
This way of doing prevention and getting little ones used to using safe and powerful natural products, calling them by the names of their enchanted world, has very important social implications. First of all, they get used to managing rules (moments of the day when they have to remember to do something for them and to know why) and, then, the habit of regularly taking something magical becomes precious when (living among preservatives, dyes, smog and various pollutants of living that lower our body´s defenses), in the presence of an illness, a medicine must be administered: the child is aware that the medicine, even if bitter, must be taken!
So, for our children we do prevention with the best bee products (with the "magic syrup") based on fresh Italian royal jelly, propolis, pollen, honey and levulose, in balanced synergy; we give (with the "superhero candies") the active ingredients of rosehip and acerola, as immunostimulants and antioxidants, based on vitamin C; think about it!
