We are Mei Essential Oils
"Vitagel: the Mei king", in the dedicated article, was very precise in claiming, among Mei´s natural products, the crown and primary role that, honestly, belong to the king. He also complained, rightly, about the fact that, in the past, MondoMei had never written about its characteristics, but never mentioned us, perhaps out of distraction.
Of course, we are not his "blood relatives" (we do not belong to the bee products), but we are recognized under the nobility of Mediterranean oils from well-being, with individual characteristics, provided with its own light and "operate" in many different fields: we are supplements, we are preventive, we are soothing, we are massage and we are cosmetics.
We, Mei Essential Oils, belong to the ancient Mediterranean family of wellness oils: we are all certified natural products, with an absolute degree of purity and scientifically calibrated for the specific actions of aromatherapy, as well as for balsamic actions, dietary values, massage and preventive properties. We have, for all this, the refined title of prince and, on the Mei chessboard, if Vitagel is the king, we are the bishops: only together can we win the game of well-being! We all belong, totally, to the culture of our Mediterranean living: we are diet, flavors, colors, scents, emotions and everything that brings us back to our civilization.
In our family, that of the "princes of well-being", the "blue blood" is all in the culture of our lands. The origin of Mediterranean oils for wellness is lost in the mists of time: jealously enclosed in wineskins and barrels, we have ploughed the "mare nostrum" transported by ships from the Phoenicians, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Turks and other peoples. The herbal medicine of the past already had, in us, the cornerstones of prevention.
The obscure laboratories of the ancient Mediterranean peoples produced the oils that the "Aleiptes" (the masseur of antiquity) used in the baths (the modern SPA) and spread among the people. The use of massage oil had given this professional the title of "untore", because the massages were all made with the use of oils and scraped with the strigil: tool and symbol of "Aleiptes". The oils were also used to perfume and sanitize the environment, to officiate divine rites and to offer gifts to kings, to prevent the discomfort of colds or to soothe pain and redness, to make more palatable some foods, integrating the taste, to give body to the cosmetics of spas and places of well-being.
They were not only used for massages; they were extracted in a current of steam (probably of Arab origin) or cold-pressed from the flowers or leaves or fruits or peels or roots of plants and represented the soul of the plants, of which they preserved the taste and smell and, with their different "bodies" and through the skin or by inhalation or ingestion, they gave well-being and realized the most ancient form of prevention and cure.
Today as then!
We have maintained, over the centuries, our functions and, with more refined techniques of extraction, today we continue to help man to feel good, taking from nature what is precious and available to us. We integrate dietary deficiencies; we give a balsamic profile to environmental greyness; we prevent the "evils" of the season; we make cosmetics precious with our phytochemical qualities; we are the safe base of the "rites" of hygiene; we are a protective barrier for the sun and bad weather and effective nourishment for the skin; we rebalance, with massage, the annoyances of sedentariness and, in the kitchen, we bring the power of "nature into the dish".
In short, we are wellness!
Under the Mediterranean coat of arms of Mei Essential Oils, we find the best natural proposal for the protection of healthy living.
For all this we are the "princes of well-being": we come from a millenary culture and, today, we are effectively present in homes, where the Mei Consultant has brought natural well-being with us, and in Spas and Wellness Centers, where Mei has renewed the millenary Mediterranean use of massage oils, made with a strigil.
With due respect.
Mei Essential Oils: the "princes of well-being
The Director replies
It is with pleasure that I publish the letter of the "princes of well-being" because I believe that Essential Oils are Mei´s load-bearing green fabric: they characterize many products, giving life to the very soul of herbal prevention.
