Mei SPA shower baths
The skin is one of the emunctory organs and is the body´s first protective barrier. Covered by a thin film of water and fat (hydro-lipid mantle), it reproduces every 28 days, following the fertility cycle. The skin breathes, nourishes, regenerates and defends itself. It is the barrier that protects us from the attack of bacteria and viruses and as such should be treated and respected. Increasingly, however, its integrity is being undermined by a series of harmful agents: air pollution, dust in the air forced environments, toxic dyes in clothing, the use of drugs, intoxication of the body, not to mention the natural aging caused by advancing age. A new problem, however, is given by unsuitable hygiene products. When they are too aggressive, they destroy the immune defenses of the skin, which is no longer able to produce antibodies. More and more products contain antibiotics, including the much-discussed Triclosan: a modified chlorine molecule that, in addition to destroying the balance of the skin, is intoxicating to the liver and even appears to be carcinogenic. We are faced with the paradox of bad hygiene that makes the skin sick.
Mei has always taken care of cosmetic products, with the same attention as those for the mouth, investing in research to find valid vegetable substitutes for harmful synthetic ingredients. Essential oils, from this point of view, have proved to be the best ally. They guarantee the safety of hygiene, thanks to the antibacterial action, and are respectful of the hydrolipidic mantle that is nourished and repaired. Synthetic surfactants have been replaced by innovative vegetable raw materials. Among these, the Arabian Gum (Cyamopsis Tetragonolobus Gum) that gives the product the pleasant gelatinous consistency, makes it nourishing and optimizes the yield. Parabens and petrolati have been replaced by natural substances extracted from coconut oil. Preservatives, which are among the main causes of allergies and irritations, have been replaced with Potassium Sorbate, obtained from Sorbic Acid, extracted from the fruit of the rowan tree and the peel of red fruits. This production philosophy was used to create the great "classics", such as Chamomile Liquid Soap for intimate hygiene and Tolu Bath for the prevention of mycosis and skin diseases. Green Tea, Tamanu and Myrrh are the other three versions of the Phitoeudermia line, for those who love stronger fragrances and an even more full-bodied product consistency.
From the exclusive experience in the most beautiful international SPAs, at the precise request of customers, the new line of Mei SPA shower baths was born.
These new products maintain the basic characteristics of Mei hygiene products and, as indicated on the label, do not contain: parabens, petrolatum, SLS or harmful chemical ingredients. They are available in six different fragrances: Orange and Mandarin, Peach and Apricot, Jasmine Flowers, Horse Chestnut and Frangula, Lavender Flowers, Mint and Spearmint.
The common thread of the line is an extraordinary consistency enhanced by unforgettable fragrances made with essential oils and not with synthetic perfumes as is usually the case with commercial products. Thanks to these characteristics of absolute naturalness and the wide range of choice, Mei SPA shower baths satisfy both female and male customers of all ages.
As with all Mei phytocosmetics, we recommend using a small amount of product and above all not to waste it under water, but to massage it all over the body with a natural sponge or horsehair glove. It ´really just a small amount and the quality / price ratio is winning. The product, in case of need, can also be used for the hair although it is not a shampoo. The colors are made with natural pigments, thus avoiding another source of intoxication and damage to the skin. Always be wary of products with garish or improbable colors, read the labels and also learn to be wary of too low a price: remember that what you apparently save today, will have to be paid to cure damaged skin tomorrow.
